Humph. I see. I assumed they'd have more of a following around London,as (I think) they've played a lot round there. It felt particularly empty as the fleece is a fair size (just googled it and it says 450 capacity). I think they could do with a couple more supporting tours, to raise their profile. Enjoy 'em on Friday Ramones!

PontiacB and I went to see them in Northampton last week, the crowd probably peaked at about 70 during the last support act (who were local) and then dwindled to about 30 by the end of Bleech. Shame really, but I wouldn't consider that bad for a Wednesday night in Northampton.
I recall there being less than 100 the first time I saw The Joy Formidable in Derby a few years back.
Anyway, those who left after the local support missed out on a great gig from Bleech, and I recommend the album (nude) and the hand made EP (deadhead).
Video here of them on the night.

I'm going to this gig as well :)
It'll be my first time seeing them live as I saw the Baddies half of the 2010 tour.

Bleech at Sticky Mikes in Brighton last night. A storming set. They are getting better and better. Crowd of about 50 ish. Looked up the listings for last night and there were an incredible 16 bands playing at various venues across town so it wasn't too bad.

Emz, it was great to see you at the gig and I hope you enjoyed them.

Thought this was about the UK shoegaze band "Bleach" from the early 90's. Didn't pick-up on the spelling difference. I think I saw "Bleach" open for Kitchens of Distinction.

Bleech have announced dates for a 2012 tour (Feb/March) - details on facebook.
Lots of dates around the England and even one in Scotland! More to be added but plenty to pick from in the Midlands so I should catch 2 or 3 of them. Leicester, Birmingham, Burton.
Also interested in the Bristol gig since the excellent Call The Doctor are supporting and it's a Friday night.

He's Keith - I'm Paul!

Call the Doctor mentioned to Keith that she was good and the current plan is that we'll be coming down for a boozy afternoon/evening in Bristol if we can both get pass outs, looks like there's a Travelodge nearby. So hopefully see you there - its a fair way off yet so plans may change, but I havent been out in my home city since the Locarno/studio closed so would be good chance to see how things are nowadays.

Bleech were excellent again in Brizzle on Friday and good to meet Hibster, minus his winter fur, again and good to meet IanL. Annette Berlin was a bit tasty as well and worth keeping an eye on. Louisiana is a top little venue for anyone after an away day trip to Bristol for a gig.

Yeah, Bleech in Bristol was the best I've seen them. Helps when there's a good atmosphere and you arrive at the venue via a string of Bristol pubs. Nice to meet Hibster and IanL there too. So many friendly people on this forum.

Yeah, much better to see them with a decent crowd. Though I really don't know why they think 'I Wanna be me' is as good as their other songs. Would have been nice to see the set varied a bit with something like flowerhands or deadhead. Likewise, nice to meet Keith and Paul.
